Influencer Academy - Group Rules
Welcome! The Influencer Academy private Facebook group is a community supported group for enrolled members of Gwen Lane's Influencer Academy membership program.
First, let’s start by saying we are SO happy you are here! This group is a place to share insights, tips, questions, answers, and most importantly, support for one another along your influencer journey. You are not alone! Gwen, her team, and her students are here for you!
This group is community supported, which means good karma will come your way if you jump in and help your fellow influencer!
Also, Gwen will be showing up LIVE on video inside the group for updates and interactive Q&A sessions.
In addition, Nicole Navarro is our Community Manager. Although her job is not to answer every question posted in the group, she is our eyes and ears in this space and will jump in as needed. You will often see her sharing an encouraging word, fostering smart conversations, and ensuring you keep moving forward. So to say the least, you are in good hands!
We have built this community to support and educate. We want to make sure it’s a safe space and preserves the quality of the group at all times, which is why we have developed these rules and enforce them on a daily basis.
With that being said, let’s dive in…
1. NO SELF PROMO
No self-promotion is allowed. What do we consider self-promotion?
Selling Anything – products, services, courses, events and programs…anything that feeds your bottom line.
Promoting your blog, Instagram, YouTube channel, event (unless it's in a promo thread, that's the only exception)
Posting affiliate links
Posting your own content in the group and not in a specific (and relevant) thread
Posting “free” offers of your own product or service
2. NO TAGGING GWEN LANE
Although Gwen is in the group regularly, please do not tag her in any posts. If you need to report something, please tag the Community Manager. We cannot guarantee that Gwen will get to all your questions. There will be weekly Q&A thread for questions that Gwen will answer LIVE when she pops into the group or during the scheduled LIVE training and Q&A sessions.

3. #ASK #WINS #SHARE
As a way to help make our group highly searchable, any time you post within the group, we want you to use one of these three categories: #ASK, #WINS, #SHARE
#ASK = Any question you may have about being an influencer or the Influencer Academy program that has you stumped.
If you want your question answered, you MUST use a hashtag!
#WINS = Any wins you are celebrating OR any fellow members you wish to spotlight and celebrate. We LOVE to feature people within the group! Give shoutouts! Share your accomplishments! Be proud of the work you’re doing! We want to hear all BIG and SMALL wins! Plus, who doesn’t love another reason for a virtual toast! *Cheers!*
#SHARE = Any tips, strategies, lessons, or insights you have learned along the way. Help each other out! This is a community run group, so offer feedback and insight whenever possible.
4. NO POSTING OF VIDEOS
No posting or sharing of your own videos (LIVE or pre-recorded) – whether it’s from your personal profile, your FB page, your YouTube account, or your website.
5. BE KIND
We live by the Golden Rule in this group: If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all. We do not allow rants, calling people out, or complaints. Just be nice. It’s that simple.

6. BE HELPFUL (GOOD KARMA!)
Provide genuine and helpful feedback and suggestions to others.
Ask questions.
Give answers.
Be the kind of supportive friend that you would want and need on your influencer journey.
Remember: We are all here to help each other…so give more than you take, please.
7. WHEN TO DM ADMINS
Okay, this one gets a little tricky. Of course, Gwen and her team, want to make sure you are supported here. However, there are a lot of you and we ask that you respect the time of our Admins and only Direct Message admins when it is absolutely necessary. 99.9% of all issues should be posted in the Facebook group or to [email protected]
IMPORTANT: If you are having login issues or tech issues inside of the program OR if you have a complaint about a program, please email [email protected] and we will be ready to support.
Please do not DM for these challenges.
Overall, we want this group to make a HUGE IMPACT on your success. We want you to grow your business and yourself. We want to be here to support you along the way.
Here are just a few more tips to help you get the most from this group:
Show Up Daily
While we don’t want you to spend your whole day on Facebook, stopping by everyday can help you gain insight and knowledge. Set a specific amount of time each day to spend in the group and then head back to work!
Sharing is Caring
We want you to share your thoughts, ask insightful questions, and experiences because they can be valuable to others. This journey can be long and a bit complicated for some, so the more insights and guidance the better!
